Inspired by the female textile artists who led the way LAYERED is launching a collection that pays tribute to our crafting heritage. During the 20th century, in times when female entrepreneurship did not come easy, Sweden saw many impressive female textile artists create masterpieces that will forever live on. Available in two styles in a total of four shades, these rugs aim to remind us of the simple, timeless beauty that a handmade rug can deliver to a home and that craftsmanship never goes out of style.
Created with flatweave sections combined with higher shaggy parts. The union of different textures, designed in a repetitive, geometric pattern creates a look that is subtle yet striking, a mixture of sharp edges and soft tones.
- 100% wool, of which 60% New Zealand wool.
- Handwoven with hand-knotted rya parts.
- Due to the longer pile and its natural material, the rug has a tendency to fluff. The fuzz will decrease over time but will never go away completely.

Care Instructions:
Cleaning: Vacuum regularly without a brush. For deeper cleaning, it is recommended to use a laundry service for flat washing.
Stain removal: Wipe the stain carefully with a mixture of lukewarm water and soap. Absorb excess liquid with a dry microfiber cloth.
If the rug is often exposed to direct sunlight, it’s a good idea to rotate it occasionally to prevent fading.

We offer samples in different sizes to help you make a long-term decision. For patterned rugs or rugs with varying pile heights and textures, we recommend the 20" x 20" sample size. Please note that for patterned styles, the sample only shows a carefully selected part of the pattern and does not represent the full design of the rug. The 4" x 7" sample size is ideal when the focus is solely on verifying color choice and texture.
Size Guide Living Room:
Front legs of sofas and armchairs should rest on the rug. Rug should extend about 8–12 inches beyond the furniture.
Size Guide Dining Room:
Rug should fit under the table and chairs, even when chairs are pulled out. Ensure at least 24 inches extra on each side beyond the table.
Size Guide Bedroom:
Rug should extend well beyond the bed. A good rule is 24–36 inches on each side.
